Atelier at SBMA
"Atelier" is the French term for "workshop," created as a studio for the imagination and offering its audience an evening of intriguing and occasionally irreverent interactions with art and artists in the Museum's galleries.
Now in its sixth season, Atelier offers 200-400 discerning guests events that are uniquely themed and inspired by the Museum's exhibitions or permanent collection, highlighted by performance, dance, and music; and specialty hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.
For more information call 805.884.6457 or email email@example.com.

The Museum covers the micro and macro and everything in between in this evening exploration of mock-logical systems, time, space, the celestial, and the sensory, inspired by Alice Aycock Drawings: Some Stories Are Worth Repeating, Michelle Stuart: Drawn from Nature, and Heavenly Bodies. Enjoy choreography inspired by images from space performed by Strange and Elegant, LA's most innovative dance group; try your luck at the Golden Goose Gallery Game, where egg hunt meets Monopoly; and experience delicious herbal elixirs and musical distillations at the Botany Bar, connecting map points from Rome, Peru, Amagansett, Babylon, and San Cristobal in a blend of world music by the UCSB Middle Eastern Ensemble. Create a seed calendar or construct constellations, and then sip on the featured cocktail, the "Mars Rover"—a vodka martini on the rocks, or sample Savoir Faire's savory Crescent Moon pies, deviled eggs with candied bacon, masa sopes with Peruvian style pork, and other out of this world flavors. Spread the word: some stories are worth repeating.
